From the foundation
to the structure.
Foundations and specialty field support for monopoles, towers, poles, commercial signs, and billboards—with Auger’s exact responsibility defined before the work begins.

Towers, Poles & Signs
One structure.
Several separate scopes.
Auger may perform the foundation, drilling and casing, structure handling, erection support, repair, relocation, removal, or a combined assignment. The proposal identifies the exact responsibility.
Monopole & Tower Foundations
Large-diameter and deep foundations with dry, cased, or slurry-supported methods selected for the project conditions.
Sign & Billboard Foundations
Drilled-shaft and deep-pipe foundation work based on the permitted design, structure geometry, soil, groundwater, and access.
Direct-Burial Poles & Pipe
Excavation and installation support for direct-burial members, including lifting, alignment, backfill, or vibratory methods when contracted.
Steel & Structure Handling
Unloading, staging, lifting, positioning, and setting support when the load, radius, rigging, access, and equipment capacity are confirmed.
Erection Support
Crane or boom-truck assistance, access equipment, handling, positioning, and supervision with each party’s role identified.
Repair & Relocation
Project-specific support for repairs, replacement, or relocation after the structure, damage, access, and required trades are evaluated.
Controlled Removal
Planned dismantling, sectional lowering, below-grade cutting, hauling, recycling, and site restoration when included in scope.
Specialty Pole Foundations
Foundation construction for flagpoles, lighting structures, communications poles, and other engineered pole systems.
Scope Before Mobilization
Define who does what.
A single structure can combine engineering, foundations, lifting, steel work, electrical work, inspection, and acceptance. Those responsibilities should never be assumed.
Foundation
Layout, drilling, slurry or casing, reinforcement, embedded items, concrete, testing coordination, and cleanup.
Structure
Supply, fabrication, unloading, assembly, welding or bolting, lifting, alignment, final torque, and coating repair.
Electrical
Service, lighting, controls, grounding, isolation, inspection, and responsibility for any energized work.
Closeout
Final inspection, documentation, restoration, hauling, recycling, acceptance, and responsibility for the completed installation.
Representative Experience
Different structures.
Different field problems.
These examples describe only Auger’s confirmed portion of the work. Customer identities and uncertain details are intentionally withheld.

Patterson, Louisiana
12-ft diameter × 80-ft deepA large slurry-supported monopole foundation with onsite reinforcement assembly, casing support, forms, and concrete coordination. Anchor bolts and the template were supplied by others.
New Orleans Area
Approx. 4-ft pipe · 60-ft embedmentAuger operated the vibratory hammer to install the base pipe, completed the confirmed field connection, and supervised erection. Pipe fabrication, crane operation, above-ground erection, and electrical work were performed by others.
Large Multi-Column Structure
Sectional dismantling · crane supportA tall illuminated sign was supported, dismantled in sections, lowered, hauled away, and cut below grade. The exact location and remaining project details will stay off the public site until final verification.
Safety Built Into the Sequence
Control the load.
Control the work area.
Tower, pole, and sign work requires the team to connect foundation stability, equipment position, rigging, working radius, elevated access, wind, utilities, surrounding operations, exclusion zones, and the removal or erection sequence.
Auger’s foundation and structure-support experience does not imply tower or RF engineering, antenna work, high-voltage electrical work, or responsibility for the entire completed structure unless specifically contracted and qualified.
Information That Controls the Plan
Start with the structure,
site, and exact role.
The erection or removal sequence must be evaluated together with the foundation, ground conditions, access, lifting requirements, utilities, operating restrictions, and final site condition.
- Structure dataType, geometry, height, weight, center of gravity, lifting points, and manufacturer information.
- Foundation dataDiameter, depth, reinforcement, embedment, anchor bolts, base plates, templates, and tolerances.
- Site dataSoil, groundwater, access, laydown, utilities, traffic, overhead obstructions, and public exposure.
- Execution dataCrane, rigging, access equipment, wind limits, assembly, inspection, restoration, and schedule.
Questions & Answers
Frequently asked questions
Can Auger install the foundation and erect the structure?
Both scopes can be evaluated. Monopole erection is performed when requested by the contractor and included in the assignment. The proposal defines foundation, handling, erection, and other responsibilities.
Can you help with an existing sign or structure?
Auger can review repair, relocation, handling, and controlled removal assignments. Provide photographs, available drawings, access information, and the required final condition.
Can you help arrange engineering?
Work is performed from engineer-provided plans. If engineering is needed, Auger can coordinate outside engineering support; the design responsibilities and costs must be defined for the project.
